Lebron James to the Magic, Spurs, Suns, or Lakers?

Lebron James has taken a beating in the media today. The guy is flat out getting hammered. I cannot recall such a quick fall from grace in recent history in any of the major sports and let me explain to you why I am having a hard time understanding it. First, let's take a look at the starting rosters of a few teams (Source: ESPN boxscore information from recent playoff games). I tried to put these lineups side by side but the word processor did not agree with me so I am sorry it is so spread out.

Now for this little game I want you to remove the best player from each team and insert Lebron James name (I understand that some teams such as Phoenix have two great players. Don't make it difficult, just pick one). Here is the scenario: Pick one team using the rules for our little game that you would select in order to have the best chance at winning a championship.

Obviously, almost everybody will pick L.A. in the one spot. Two through seven is going to vary for everyone but I would pick San Antonio in the 2 spot and Phoenix in the 3 spot. Boston would take the 4 spot and Atlanta would take the 5 spot with Orlando rounding out the 6 spot. So who does that leave?

The Cleveland Cavaliers. Cleveland would be the last group I would take in this little game. My point is that Lebron is the one player in the league who must play all world every night in order for his team to win. Obviously, the Cavs have talent. You don't win 60 games in back to back years without talent but I think the playoffs prove to be to overwhelming to Lebron. He can handle the pressure in the regular season but the world on his shoulders gets a little heavier during the playoffs. Shaq does not help the weight issue any and Antwan Jamison was even a little heavy during these playoffs. If Mo is shooting halfway decent he is not a bad commodity but he does not add much else. I understand the criticism of Lebron and this team but I think we should be careful regarding the stance we take on Lebron at this time. Lebron is Michael Jordon special. Once, if ever, he has the components around him, like Jordan did, he will have a handful of rings. The job is for the right GM to assemble such a group as this.
