Lebron James is Still a Little Boy

Jacob Horn
This was Lebron's chance to show us he had a little maturity in him. After the last few weeks, we have all been wondering if Lebron is a 12 year old boy inside a 25 year old body.

I have no problem with Lebron switching teams. That is his choice. I have no problem with him forming a super team with Bosh and Wade. I actually thought that was smart. I do have a problem with how he exited Cleveland.

All sports cities grow close to their favorite stars but Lebron and Cleveland had something truly special. This was a city that had been down on its luck and when Lebron James arrived in town it was like they had something to wake up and live for as far as sports are concerned. They did everything they could to keep him happy, fans and coaches alike. (Note: I have said in earlier blogs that I was never impressed with his supporting cast so maybe not so much the front office. )

My point is that Lebron should have told Cleveland good bye in an appropriate way. I understand that professional sports are all about business but somethings are bigger than business. Lebron took out an ad in an Akron newspapers saying thank you to the town but Cleveland has yet to get their thank you ad. Cleveland loved Lebron. They thought the world of him. They at least deserved an appropriate good bye. Maybe Lebron will take an ad out in a Cleveland newspaper over the next few weeks and thank them. Lebron and Cleveland relations will never be healed but at least it would bring a little bit of closure to the issue for Cleveland fans. They deserve it. I highly doubt he would do something like that seeing that it would take maturity on his part. It would take manning up and humbling yourself but that is not something Lebron is very good at.
