Lebron Will Be a Net in 2010

Jimmy Smith
Is there any real question, any real doubt that Lebron won't be a Net in 2010? The Nets will move to Brooklyn, and Lebron will be in the starting five. It's just the way things are, and the way things are going to be and there is nothing you can do Cavaliers fans, absolutely nothing. New York is just a better city to play in, in fact somebody should take a poll, which city would you rather play in Cleveland or New York. I'm sure New York would win hands down. Not that it's a knock against Cleveland, it's just there is more money to be made in New York as well as there is more spotlight to shine in.

The only real obstacle the Nets face in the Lebron James chase in 2010, is the Knicks. That's almost as laughable as him staying in Cleveland, because the Knicks have just been a mess of a franchise. The Knicks don't have any young players of Devin Harris and Brook Lopez's caliber to make Lebron want to play with them. Why would he go there, to be the only good player on the team? The real X-Factor here is Lebron's boy Jay-Z who owns a large chunk of the Nets, as well as the move to Brooklyn where Lebron has a lot of friends and Lebron James has pegged Brooklyn as the best borough in New York. Who wouldn't want to go play on their favorite rappers team, in New York City? With a max contract, and easy access to the greatest city on earth? He would have to be out of his mind to sign anywhere else.

Jay-Z and the Brooklyn Nets will lure Lebron to New York in 2010, write it down, book it, it's over Cleveland. Get out your tissue boxes, and be thankful you had Lebron for the seasons you had him. There's other great players out there, but will they be as great as Lebron James? Only time will tell, but you can thank Jay-Z and the fine city of New York for taking him away from you.

So Cleveland, enjoy 2009 with Lebron James, it will be your last, he will be signing with the Nets in 2010, at 26 years old, just about to enter his prime. Him and Jay-Z will celebrate and pop bottles when the Nets win the championship, heck maybe a couple of championships over the coming six or seven years. Cleveland, you almost had it this year, oh so close to making it to the finals. Yes Cleveland, the Nets fans still remember that playoff loss you dealt us a few years back, when we were having a great season, revenge is a dish best served cold, see you in 2010.
