Whenever you want to reach out to people, an effective ad or signboard is sometimes necessary. This is true particularly if you want extend your message to those who would not want to give you the time in the world. Even churches and congregations express a need for a different mode of reaching out to people, especially the non-believers.

But how do you choose the proper means? We must take into consideration that individuals have a short attention span, and would likely turn away if what they see do not please their eyes. An effective tool used by business in advertising their product or service is the LED Sign. The LED sign, which mean Light Emitting Diode, are the typical colorful electric signs you see in stores and plazas. If you think about it, you know the lights are there and which stores have those lights because they caught your attention. The effect would be the same if you use LED Signs to promote your congregation.

Here are some tips on how to effectively promote your church using the LED sign:

1. Consider the location of the sign. Will the sign be noticeable when placed in this particular spot? Will the individual recognize it as a church sign? Proper positioning of the sign is vital to catch the attention of the people. Make sure that the sign can be seen even from a mile radius.

2. Is the message you are trying to relay clear? It is important that they understand that the sign you put up is not just a regular advertisement of a product or service, but rather an approach to open up their hearts and understand what you have got to say. Keep the message short, simple and purposeful. Does it create a feeling of well being? Does the message give them a sense of presence, belonging or acceptance? If so, then the people seeing your ad will be more curious and may find the time to accept your invitation.

3. Don't overdo your sign. Being overly colorful might give them a wrong impression. They might think that you are trying to buy them. This might discourage them from attending your parish. Maintain just enough lights and color so as to catch their attention but limit it so it would not seem as an invitation to a party, but rather a peaceful gathering.

The mission of most congregations is to not only expand their reach, but also make sure that those within the congregation understand their purpose there. Much like a business, there must be quality with your organization. In order to spread the good news, the belief and knowledge of your people are as essential as their number.
