Lee Dewyze the Next American Idol?
Everyone has been watching the American Idol front runner Crystal Bowersox, but I believe that the
rising star Lee Dewyze could actually become the next American Idol! One reason I think that Lee will be the next
American Idol is because of what he can do with any type of theme. First, think about when he did the song
"Fireflies". That is definitely not the type of music Lee will be singing when he has his own career, but he did great
and made it his own. Now, think back to this past week. It was Shania Twain weak. Country may not be Crystal's
nor is it Lee's forte. Lee did a solid performance. Crystal though, didn't pull off such a solid performance and that is alright because I'm sure that when she gets a record contract that will not be her genre of music, but Lee has done great with every theme and that is one reason why he should be the next American Idol. The judges didn't like her performance and I don't think that America did either. I know I didn't, but my point is not to put anyone down. I just want to talk about the strengths of all of the contestants and tell you why I think Lee will win.
That brings me to my last reason that I think Lee Dewyze could be the next American Idol. Think
about when Lee and Crystal first auditioned for American Idol. Both of their auditions went great, but think about
how nervous Lee was during his audition and during Hollywood week. Crystal was not as nervous. She
communicated with the audience through her music in a great way from the start. Lee on the other hand did not
know exactly how to show his emotion and communicate with the audience through his music. Look at Lee now
though. He shows his emotion and communicates with the audience (even adding a little smile here and
there)! So Lee has shown the most growth and improvement over all of the contestants. Is that not what
American Idol is all about? My point for this article was not to put down Crystal. I just think that Lee has worked
hard and I think that his work will pay off. Who do you think though, will be the next American Idol?

Post a CommentGoogle on the statement I just made below if you want proof. Lee was already singing professionally signed into a contract when he began idol but was allowed to cut his contract to compete.
Lee has had a professional recording contract which he was released from so that he could be on Idol. How can he not be disqualified? Does this mean that any artist who is in a contract and selling albums professionally can be released from a contract and sing against people who are full of hope to become an idol and begin to sell albums also and mostly to be signed into a contract?
I love Lee's sexy raspy voice, attitude and his passion for music. His willingness to improve (He is by far the most improved of the bunch) and his "aww shucks" persona when he deservedly gets praise.
Lee deserves it. Chrystal does not. She wanted to quit a while back so why don't she? It's like she doesn't want the title or take the competition seriously and she likes to back talk to the judges. What's that saying. You shouldn't slap the hand that feeds you.
I think you are exactly right with this! I love Lee! I have since the beginning! He has grown so much over the weeks, and he is so much more confident. He is finally believing in himself, and I think that's helping his performances! I love Crystal, and wouldn't mind if she won, but I really really really want it to be Lee! I think his voice is great!
Lee deserves it more than any one else, so talented and reliable, would love it more if smiles often :) I have never watched american idol whole season and this year I have been watching just because of Lee!!! xoxo
I think Lee will win because he is a GREAT singer, and he is more relatable than Crystal. Plus, those Danny Gokey good looks don't hurt his chances any :)
I think you make some great points.
That said, it is worth noting that Crystal's performance of the Shania Twain song didn't come off well more because of the way the song was cut/structured for broadcast that because of her performance, which was pretty good.
On Idol, the structure of the song was changed too much. In particular, the bridge was cut in half, which really stopped Crystal from doing as well as she could have.

Even though I agree with everything you wrote, unfortunately a lot of the voters are young females and will vote for the cutest, not saying DeWyze isn't a doll cause come on... he is adorable! Just like you, I'm not trying to put anyone down... but, if Casey or Aaron happen to win, I believe, it's because of their looks. They can sing but they don't have anything on DeWyze or Crystals voices. I'm a huge fan of DeWyze and have been since his audition because of his voice and the uniqueness of it, and yes it doesn't hurt that he is very good looking :) I guess what I'm trying to say is that the voters should vote on the talent that these contestants have and not on how they look or because they feel bad for "The Saved One" (Big Mike) I mean come on, he was saved and now people feel bad for him and now he has stuck around. If people really wanted him to stick around in the first place then he wouldn't of had to be saved, right? Don't get me wrong, Big Mike can sing, they all can but the o
Crystal sounds the same every week and her attitude/personality sucks! I think that is going to prevent her from winning. I agree Lee has grown and improved the most since the beginning. The other 'strong' talents being spoke of, must not have been too strong or they'd still be competing. In the end it's whoever gets the most votes....plain and simple. Adam lost it because Kris got more votes and I think Danny's fans went with Kris in the end, not necessarily because Kris was better than him.
