The manufacturer of Lee jeans takes into consideration how a woman's body is shaped and then apply that design to their jeans to give a true fit no matter the size. Lee jeans give a little extra room for hips and a curvy bottom with a smaller waistline. The other famous brand of jeans (which happen to begin with the same letter of the alphabet as Lees) didn't fit me when I was a size 7 and extremely trim. I certainly wouldn't expect them to fit my middle age figure!
Most jeans that fit my waist would be so tight elsewhere, that my rear-end would be unmercifully squeezed into a shape more flattering for a man's physique. I want my bottom to look like it belongs on a woman's body! In order to get a size that had adequate room in the seat, then the waist would gape open enough for another person to fit in! The maker of Lee jeans apparently realizes that many women actually have a waist smaller than their hips and derriere.
I've also never had a problem with the length of Lee jeans. They are long enough for me and I'm almost 5-feet 8-inches tall. Sometime other brands of jeans are either too short for me, or they are so ridiculously long that they can only be worn with very high heels. A mid-heeled boot is the most I would wear with jeans. I'm tall enough anyway and comfort is first on my list. Lee jeans give me just the right length.
The styles of Lee jeans available do seem to change from year to year, but there always seems to be a style that I can count on to fit me. The maker of Lee jeans has also taken into consideration that many women want the latest styles of jeans without being overly trendy. They seem to have new styles aimed for the younger junior sizes as well. Yet Lee still remembers that many women don't want jeans that have such a low waistline that standing is the only guarantee of complete coverage.
Lee jeans are readily available at many department stores. They usually retail for about $38.00, but I always buy them on sale. I usually pay $20.00 to $25.00 for Lee jeans and honestly, why would I not? They seem to always be on sale! Lee has a web site where a few styles of their jeans can be purchased, as well as capris and shorts. They also have a store locator which might prove helpful for shoppers trying to locate Lee jeans. Just put in your zip-code and it will show retail stores in your area that sell Lee jeans.

Post a CommentLee jeans are great for short and curvy too. I've been wearing them for years. Enjoyed the read!
You know I'm one of those people that have never liked Jeans. *Gasp* I Know! lol Great article though. *Hey, I never said I was normal* lol
Another winner! And a great photo (you should stick the AC logo on the LEE label!). At the famous "Thieve's Market" in Naples they sell a bogus version of Lee jeans called "Iee" it's easy to get fooled into thinking you're buying the real thing!
