I will tell you examples on how to duel strategically, plus how to use your map efficiently with this edition of this specific Harry Potter video-game for the PC. Later on I'll tell you how to tackle each character's related attributes and extra points, so you won't get lost. Anyway, here are the button configurations. Directional Pad is used to cycle through different options in the map screen. The left analog stick moves your character. It's funny that the right analog stick is used to actually for your wand and cast spells, etcetera. The A Button is used while walking and allows you to run. Tap the A Button rapidly while in the position to climb and you will do so. Tap the A Button rapidly while running and you will run more rapidly. Tap the B Button to fix the middle camera, or hold down on B to go into the first person mode. The Y Button equips your wand and sets it in order. The X Button interacts and controls your environment plus talks to other characters. The left button (LB), is not used for play at all. Holding the right button (RB) aims your wand towards the nearest Hog-warts student in your direction. The left trigger (LT) is used to cycle between objects or opponents when your wand is ready to use. The right trigger is used to cycle between objects or opponents again with the wand but on the other side. The back button will bring you to the Marauders Map screen. Finally, the start button pauses the game while bringing up the original options menu.

There are various spells, including these six. To do the Stupefy, move the RAS Up, then rotate the stick counter-clockwise quickly. To do the Rictusempra, tap the RAS Up, Down, Up, Down in quick succession. To do the Expelliarmus, tap the RAS Down twice in quick succession. To do the Protego, tap the RAS Up twice in quick succession. To do the Levicorpus, move the RAS UP, then rotate it to the LEFT, return to UP, and then rotate to the RIGHT. Lastly, to do the Petrificus Totalus, just move the RAS UP, then rotate the stick clockwise quickly. While you are fighting other characters in the game, keep moving. If you stand still you can easily get hit by an assailing character. Second, learn the spacings of your spells and how they operate so you can be better in-sync with your moves. The more time you spend in Hog-warts, the more you'll level up. The damage, range, and speed of your combat based spells increases. You're not just unlocking video interviews and trophies, but you are energizing your character. Also, remember that your friends' characters can inflict damage on your character by accident, so give yourself enough footing from the other allied cast members.

Periodically you'll run into other mini-game sections within this Potter video-game. Gob-stones are like the schoolyard game, 'Marbles'. The Gob-stones Controls are LAS and RAS. LAS is for camera positions and shots, while RAS is to pull back the power setting of your shot. Snap it forward to release the shot. The longer you pull back, the harder the Gob-stone will take to move forward or flicker. There are many other Gob-stone mini-game variations. Traditional is to knock more Gob-stones out of the ring than your opponent does to win. The Jack Stone mini-game is played at the end of the Potter game. Your Gob-stone must be closer to the Jack Stone than your opponent's to win. The Snake Pit mini-game is played to get your Gob-stones closer to the Pit than your opponent's to win. Wizard Chess is the same as ancient, regular chess, with the only difference being pieces will actually come to life. The Wizard Chess controls are as read: LAS rotate or zoom the camera. RAS used to highlight a Chess piece to go. The X Button is used to select a certain Chess piece and where to guide it. A Wizard card game is to simply match two cards that are flipped over. Oh boy! Exploding Snaps mini-game buttons are LAS and the X Button. LAS is used to move the cursor and highlight certain cards, while the X Button is selected to highlight a card. X Button: Used to select a highlighted card.

Basically, I hate reading video-game tutorials which ruins the enjoyment of finding certain places, people, and objects, because I am a pure gamer. I'm not some four-eyed wannabe poser who attempts to be a good gamer. I'm also not a punk gamer that uses tutorials to get better than his friends just because last week his buddies killed him quickly during the last round of some random video-game. Then all of a sudden, the punk gamer wants revenge. With that said, this Harry Potter game is self-explanatory. The game isn't fun with me telling you every single twist and turn of the game, which would leave the gaming purists out there unimpressed and foolishly bedazzled by the minuscule gamer glitches. While you are going through this game, just find out every thing else for yourself. I have given you the basics to make sure you don't look like a fool playing this game, and that's enough. Job done on my behalf. (Chuckling)
