When you're looking for family living in the big city, your options are few and far between. Unless you're in your own space, you'd be hard pressed to find all the touches boasted by my next destination. The next stop on our travels was in the Lefferts Garden neighborhood of Brooklyn at Lefferts Manor Bed & Breakfast.

Lefferts Manor promises a homey alternative to Manhattan or Brooklyn box hotels. With three floors, shared common space with the in-residence family, and Moroccan flashes Lefferts Manor imagine themselves the perfect destination for parties big and small. A short jaunt from several subway lines, several accessible rooms, and relative affordability make this urban bed and breakfast one for your radar, but what about the beds? Let's head on inside Lefferts Manor bed and breakfast and see if this is somewhere that you should sleep here now.

Lefferts Gardens is the neighborhood developed by wealthy agriculture baron James Lefferts as something of a respite from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. Today Lefferts Gardens is a family neighborhood with tree lined streets and wonderfully preserved brownstone residences. The accessibility to places like Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Brooklyn restaurants, trains around the city and the Prospect Park Zoo make Lefferts Manor Bed & Breakfast the perfect spot for your Brooklyn adventures.

Lefferts Manor Bed & Breakfast has five guest rooms across two floors. One thing about this bed and breakfast which guests should be aware of is the shared bathroom space. While this was not an issue while my wife and I were there, those uncomfortable should be aware. However the housekeeping staff seemed to be always working and the family lives on site so if there were any pressing issues, they could have been dealt with, without delay.

After a rejuvenating night's sleep and a hearty breakfast it's time for me to be on my way. Lefferts Manor Bed & Breakfast may not be the first place you'd think to stay when you're visiting the borough. It is well hidden and with good reason. Innkeeper Mark told me upon arrival that he liked to control the flow of guests entering his home, rather than letting the guests control him. His family lives in the ground floor so guests can take it to heart that this innkeeper won't be letting any riff-raff slide by. Still with its ease of accessibility, privacy, cleanliness, and comfort, Lefferts Manor Bed & Breakfast is a great choice for your next stay in Brooklyn.
