Legend of Heroes: A Vermillian Tear sounds like a final fantasy rip off but as most of us are waiting for the Final Fantasy 12 to hit the shelves Legend of Heroes doesn't sound like a bad game to kill time with. It starts out pretty simple, you're a young lad named Avin growing up in a monestary with his sister Emille until one day they're attacked by an occult leader of a religious group called the Octem's Apostles. The church risks their lives to protect the two for reasons unknown leaving you helpless with only one word in mind ... Durga's Daughter.

As you escape through the underground pathways beneath the church you and your sister become separated when attacked by sorcerers. This is where your adventure officially begins. You get simple tasks to perform and as you progress you find more and more monster's on the road and as you level up they become harder to kill. But soon you find yourself on a quest to find your sister and along the way you meet people and make new friends ... and along the way you may lose them.

This game has its ups and downs but still a good one to play on the PlayStation Portable while waiting on other games to hit the shelves. The only thing that kept bothering me throughout the game is having to wait for the lengthy dialogs, bad grammer and spelling issues and the long trips you take just to get from point A to point B. But other than that. The music was great, story line is a bit shakey but strong and the characters are adorable. So to sum it up, here is my input.

Pros: Lovable characters, shakey but good storylines, nice little role playing game with challenging monsters and bosses to fight and interesting level system.

Cons: Bad grammer and spelling throughout the game, sometimes the names of the characters will change on you as the writers forget who they're talking about, lengthy dialogs to scroll through and the game is pretty linear there's not much exploring you can do.
