Legendary James Brown Dies

"Godfather of Soul", Jame Brown passed away Christmas morning. He was hospitalized for pneumonia and died of heart failure. James Brown will always be a legend in music history. Even though he was sick, he spoke of performing on New Years Eve, an optimist to the end. He was 73 years old.

James Brown's first hit 1956 and had over 50 hits over his musical career. His music was influential in all realms of music. He was a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award winner in 1992. As well as receiving Grammys in 1965 and 1987. He was also one of the first inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
James Brown had a heart of gold. He was born in poverty and always gave back. It is said that he donated to the poor in his community in South Carolina this month for the holidays.

This music legend will be sadly missed.

    Great piece. It's always so sad when someone dies on Christmas. I liked several of his songs.
