Story : There isn't really any story in the game, as it's a wrestling game.
Graphics : There are some graphical glitches in the game, but they are mostly negligible and don't hurt the game play or atmosphere at all. There are a lot of really nice touches here. The detail in a wrestling game has never been better. The crowd looks very good, the wrestlers look even better, and the ring itself even has extreme amounts of detail. The moves are all animated very well and look more realistic than in other wrestling based video games.
Sound : The game sounds excellent. I especially like the crowd sounds. They really hit a home run here, this is the best wrestling game sound-wise there's ever been. If I were just listening and didn't know any better, I would think it was an actual Wrestlemania broadcasts. Everything here sounds totally great. The music is fairly good and is ambient to a good degree.
Game play : The game play is loads of fun here and its similar to previous wrestling games by THQ. The game really does shine quite well when playing with other people and that's what I recommend. The controls feel very responsive and sensitive, and pulling off wrestling moves exactly as you want to has never been easier. You unlock more things in the game by collecting medals, which is frustrating, annoying, and a really big time sink. Perhaps I just don't enjoy doing this anymore, as most wrestling games require obscene amounts of time to unlock everything. Learning the control scheme is easy enough, but there are some things that are not self explanatory so you may need to look up an FAQ for certain moves.
Re playability : The game's create a wrestler mode is what will keep most of you coming back for more. It's highly intricate and detailed, almost too complex really. It can take several hours to create a wrestler, so get ready to dig in and play if you decide to do this. The online mode is quite fun, and deserves a significant amount of play time as well.
Overall : 7/10. Controls have a bit of a learning curve, create a wrestler takes too long, some graphical errors. Other than that, a really solid game.
