Lego "Mystery Bag" Series Two "Witch": A Must-Have Mini Figure for Lego and Castle Collectors

Miss Fortune
When Lego announced that they would be selling blind packs of some mini figure characters I was completely stoked; even though they were packaged so you could not see the mini figure you would be getting in the bag it was only a matter of time before people cracked the UPC code sequence.

The Lego Witch is a revamp of one of the old school witches from the Castle and Fright Knight series. Instead of coming with a flesh colored head peg this one has an eerie green color with some nice stenciled detail to it. Of the first and second series, she is one of my favorites along with the Zombie and Vampire. She has a non-typical leg section; instead of a split design that allows her to have movement it is one solid piece. This mimics a witches dress and there are stenciled details to it including a spell book, potion bottle and a small rip. Her torso piece is equally nice with a shirt pattern and belt.

The Witch comes with a basic brown broom with textured detail to it and a common witches hat. I love the fact that her entire body (excluding the head piece) is done in black. This, along with her evil grin, gives her a sinister look so she can be added to a lot of different themes and scenes. I really love the way she looks and that the designers opted to go with a green face instead of a flesh or Lego yellow peg.

The second series of mini figures includes the following: Explorer, Disco Dude, Vampire, Traffic Officer, Surfer, Karate Master, Life Guard, Weight Lifter, Witch, Spartan Warrior, Circus Ringmaster, Pharaoh, Pop Star Singer, Skier, Mime, Mariachi Man. This is the second series from Lego, the first series also contains sixteen randomly packaged characters from different Lego themes. The prices will vary from store to store and if you are buying them online you won't have a choice of characters if they are being sold in their original packages.
