In my personal search for the best hot wings in Virginia Beach I have finally settled on Lendy's Cafe and Raw Bar. It is located in the Dam Neck shopping center at the corner of Dam Neck Road and General Booth Boulevard. It's tucked back in the corner so keep your eyes peeled for it.

The restaurant itself is a tiny, cramped place with nothing too fancy as far as the decorations. Pictures of local military folks line the walls along with the local hockey team, the Admirals. One of the two owners loves the Cowboys so he displays his favorite items for all to see. It has mostly small booths with three larger tables to fit up to a party of six. They serve you off of Styrofoam plates, plastic cups and hand out cheap plastic menus but the food makes up for what the dinnerware is lacking in.

They sell t-shirts made by one of the owners in case you'd like to proudly display your wing place of choice. The bar proudly displays two game machines that love to gobble up your money in exchange for outranking other customers on your favorite games. They also keep a large range of hot sauces in stock and sell those. Don't forget your "I Love Jet Noise" stickers proudly stacked next to the front register. Every military supporting vehicle needs one!

The ambiance of Lendy's is not in the decor but rather in the greetings from the friendly staff, the no fuss attitude and the great hot wings. They have five different levels of spiciness for whatever your taste buds can handle. They also cook their wings in bar-b-que sauce if that is what you prefer. On Sunday's they have a ten cent wing special that is an unbeatable deal. The tasty wings are worth the regular price but if you're looking for a deal then I suggest stopping by on Sundays. They also serve excellent sweet tea, really sweet, just how I like it. Their beer refrigerator boasts quite a collection and there is always bound to be something to quench your thirst. Their fresh cut french fries make a great addition to any meal. Their ranch dressing is homemade and very tasty.
If you're thinking of stopping by make sure to get there early on Sunday's during football season. The place fills up about thirty minutes before the first game and it's hard to find an empty seat. So, if you're looking for perfectly cooked and sauced hot wings at all different spiciness levels and a laid back, friendly atmosphere then I definitely recommend Lendy's cafe.
