I am fascinated by the history behind the major musical instrument manufactures.
I dedicate this article to Leo Fender a man who has a rich history in the life of the modern electric guitar manufacturing.
Listed below are different Squidoo lens that collect the best information on each company that I gathered from each manufactures websites, Wikipedia, personal experience, and retailers. I have also collected many eBay auctions and Amazon sales that are related to specific models of electric guitars and basses.
So no matter what your taste in music is I'm sure you will have found after reading this that Leo Fender had a hand in it at some point.
In 1946 Leo Fender founds the legendary Fender Musical instrument Company that we all know for his timeless design of the Stratocaster electric guitar.

Then in 1965 after He sells Fender to CBS, Leo then designs guitars as a silent partner in the Music Man musical instrument manufacturing. Known for his legendary bass design the "Sting Ray" bass

Later Leo again sells his business to Ernie Ball who takes over the Music Man brand.

And until his death in 1991 Leo Fender remained active in designing and manufacturing electric guitars and bass guitars with his signature body styles and new innovations with his long time business partner George Fullerton with their company G&L Guitars
