Leo: The Lion

Leo is a fixed fire sign, the may be compared to a campfire in which everyone gathers around. They can be stubborn, loyal, and proud of their achievements. Leos look far past being the winner, they want to be on top, such as King or Queen. However, while they do appear to be extremely confident, they do underestimate themselves and crave love and adoration to keep them going. Many Leos display a sunny disposition, they have an attractive liveliness, a mature sense of responsibility, and take great pride in their home. On the other hand, Leos can be very arrogant, cold-hearted when they are hurt, they have a tendency to take credit for other's work, and may sometimes display an uncaring attitude.

Leos like to show off and often times they may be considered popular among a crowd. A Leo man may use charm to get what he wants and he likes for everything he does to be exciting. Similarly, a Leo woman may use courtesy to get what she wants and she always has a need to be admired. Either A Leo man or woman in love will expect to be treated like royalty and to be adored by their partner. Although they seem cold-hearted, it can take Leos several months to recover from a broken heart.

They like anything that will promise them pleasure, receiving birthday cards, an appreciative audience, and children and pets. They dislike being laughed at or made fun of, being ignored, being told something they don't know, and lies and deceit. The opposite sign of Leo is Aquarius, the water-carrier. Aquarius can show Leo how to share without needing appreciation and to sometimes give the center stage to someone else. They will learn to value themselves and stand alone.

Even though they are stubborn and arrogant, Leos can still be great people and very genuine. Sometimes, it takes a special personality to get along with a Leo because they like the spot light so much. To give an example, some well-known Leos include Mick Jagger, Lucille Ball, Alfred Hitchcock, and Mae West. As long as anyone can realize Leo's selfish ways are only part of their personality and give love and adoration, Leo will give the same in return.
