Less than 50 miles to Boston, you can find affordable housing in this area. You can choose from small, modest housing, large luxury living or easy to maintain condominiums. There is also plenty of new construction homes being built, so it gives you the opportunity to structure your own living space. Route 2, which is the highway that runs into Boston, runs through Leominster, which is also convenient to Route 190 that runs into Worcester, the second biggest city in the state. If you are not interested in driving into Boston, the commuter rail does make a run through the town, and stops at the station in North Leominster.

The population is approximately 38,000 and is home to "The Mall at Whitney Field" which is a huge shopping center, including stores like Macy's, JC Penney, Home Depot and Toys R' Us. The city also is a big manufactory of plastic products to be distributed nationwide.
There is a hospital located outside of the center, and a handful of nursing homes if someone in your family require care.
As far as education goes, there are quite a few schools in Leominster. There are two private schools, St. Anna and St. Leo, as well as a special education school, The Lipton Academy School. Public schools are plentiful, including: Bennett, Fall Brook, Johnny Appleseed, Leominster Center for Technical Education, Leominster Senior High School, Lincoln School, Northwest School, Priest Street School, Samoset School, Skyview Middle School and Southeast Middle School. The people in Leominster are friendly. It's a small city, but with a small town feel. There are plenty of venues to eat at, including Applebee's and several chain restaurants. Some of the privately owned restaurants are spectacular, such as the Monument Grill, or Monty's Garden for Italian food.
If you've considered moving into this area, it might be the perfect time to check it out. There are several houses available, and you can't beat the selection. With easy access to the highway, you won't spend a lot of time on back roads trying to get to it. You won't be disappointed!
