Leonard DiCaprio to Join Ridley Scott in 'Body of Lies'

In the latest Leonardo DiCaprio news there are rumours that Warner Bros is trying to the Oscar nominated actor on board for the film adaptation of the novel 'Body of Lies'.

Leonardo DiCaprio has certainly stamped his mark in Hollywood with his most recent performances, making him very popular with movie makers.

The lasted talk coming out of Hollywood is that Leonardo DiCaprio is in the early stages of discussions with Warner Bros about staring in one of their upcoming films. The film is 'Body of Lies' which will be an adaptation of a novel written by David Ignatius.

It is also thought that Warner Bros have already signed up Ridley Scott to direct the film.

If things follow along this road it will be the first time Leonardo DiCaprio has worked with the talented director, Ridley Scott. The new film project would also allow Leonard DiCaprio to work with the person who wrote one of Leo's successful films of 2006, 'The Departed'. This person is William Monahan. 'The Departed' was awarded an Oscar recently for Best Picture. Monahan is also responsible for writing the popular Kingdom of Heaven.

To combination of Leonardo DiCaprio, Ridley Scott and William Monahan make Warner Bros new project, 'Body of Lies' very high profile and will make it one of the most anticipated films of the year when it finally reaches cinemas.

If Leonard DiCaprio takes a role in 'Body of Lies' he will have another busy year ahead of him. Leo has already signed up on another high profile film that reunites him with his 'Titanic' co-star Kate Winslet and the director Sam Mendes. This film, 'Revolutionary Road' is due to start filming in the summer. After filming 'Revolutionary Road' the filming of 'Body of Lies' will begin and according to Variety, director Ridley Scott is already looking for good locations in Morocco, Europe, Washington D.C and areas of the Middle East to film.

For anyone that does not want to have any spoilers about 'Body of Lies', skip the following paragraph. 'Body of Lies' is about a journalist that switches careers to become a CIA agent. The CIA agent gets sent to Amman and must try and find an Al Qaeda leader in an attempt to stop a suspected terrorist attack on the United States.

'Body of Lies' is a book written by David Ignatius, who is a columnist at the Washington Post. The book was originally called Penetration but when Warner Bros bought the book in March they changed the name.

It looks like another successful film year for Leonardo DiCaprio.
