Leonardo DiCaprio's Private Love Life

Unlike most celebrity relationships, DiCaprio's love life is very hush-hush. Leonardo aspires to keep his love and personal life private. Of course, he cannot easily escape the paparazzi and Hollywood gossip about celebrity relationships. I was able to dig up some dirt on his past girlfriends.

Leonardo's desire for privacy is understandable but people want to know the juicy details or at least who he is dating. He is known for speaking out on environmental issues and I commend him for not being quiet about the dangers of global warming and ideas on how to be more eco-friendly. DiCaprio donated $1 million to the relief efforts in Haiti.

DiCaprio's dating and girlfriend, Gisele (1998-2005)

DiCaprio was supposedly with actress Demi Moore in 1998, around the time she was with Bruce Willis and they dated again in 2002.

Leo also reportedly dated Vanessa Hayden and Kidada Jones (daughter of Quincy Jones, both models, in 1998.

Leonardo dated actress Kristen Zang in 1996 and again in 1998. Zang's stepfather Richard Rollins told Cosmopolitan that Leo rented an entire island for Kristen in Thailand and said the two were committed to each other. However, the couple did not last.

Leonardo DiCaprio's girlfriend, from 2001 until 2005, was Brazilian supermodel, Gisele Bündchen.

DiCaprio'slove and girlfriend, Bar (2005-present)

In 2005, Leonardo DiCaprio met Israeli model, Bar Refaeli at a Las Vegas party thrown for the band members of U2. DiCaprio and Bar have been dating off and on ever since.

Bar shares DiCaprio's sentiment of keeping personal life as private as possible. Most supermodels would pay be seen at the Oscars with Leo but Bar did not want to accompany him. She prefers to be there for him without the need to stand in the spotlight.

An Israeli nationalist group recently urged Bar Refaeli to leave her boyfriend, Leonardo DiCaprio, so she can settle down with a Jewish husband. It is doubtful she will listen since the non-Jew issue is obviously not important to her or she would not have remained Leo's girlfriend.

In 2009, DiCaprio and Bar separated for six-months and Leonardo was reportedly dating another model Anne Vyalitsyna, soon after being seen with the singer of The Pussycat Dolls, Ashley Roberts.
