Leslie Nielsen, 84 Has Passed Away

A Wonderful Actor that Brought Laughter to Many

Jennifer Bove
Leslie Nielson's agent John S. Kelly released this statement: "Nielson died of complications from pneumonia at a hospital near his home, surrounded by his wife, Barbaree, and friends."

Leslie Nielson lived a full life, acting since the 50's. He was born February 11, 1926 and was with us until November 28, 2010. He was born in Canada and began acting in 1948. When he started, he was actually a dramatic actor. However, his comedies are probably what he will be remembered most for. He could make you laugh until tears rolled down your cheeks! He was in one hundred films and 1,500 television programs which is an amazing feat and testament to his great talent.

He continued to work into his 80's. There was a movie made as recent as last year, but with some financial troubles, this movie may unfortunately not see the big screen. TMZ reports that the director of the movie, Bryan Waterman has said that Mr, Nielson finished his part in the movie, a voice over role but that the animation was not finished due to lack of funds.

Leslie Nielson will live on in the hearts of his fans. He will probably even continue getting new fans as his movies are ageless and will be with us for years to come. He will be missed, a sad loss for us all.

He sure was a great comedian in his later movies. Most younger people may not know he was famous earlier for more dramatic roles.
