It's fall again, I wipe the slate
Prepare again for something new
Still, I learn, though school is passed
I try to not regret my past
The remnants always on my slate
But I press on with something new
Build lessons on the things I knew
back before my prime had past
Before I'd written on the slate
The past remembers, emerges new, it's memory etched in every slate.
