Let It Go is the first single released off of Keyshia Cole's second album called Just Like You. This song features singers Lil' Kim and Missy Elliot. This song debuted at spot number seventy-four on the Billboard Hot 100 and quickly rose into the top ten. This song was nominated for the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the fiftieth Grammy Awards. It was also included on the list of best songs of 2007, being placed at number fifty-nine on the top songs according to Rolling Stone. This song has sold over one million copies.

This song is about female power and crumbling relationships. This song talks about lettings your loved one go if they are not right for you. While this song was originally intended for Fantasia, she had too many songs on her album, so this song was passed onto Keyshia Cole. Another rumor said that Oliva, but she decided upon another song in its place. This has been Cole's most popular single as a lead artist. She has had other top ten singles, but this is her first as the main artist on the song. There is a remix for this song, in which T.I. and Young Dro are included.

Benny Boom directed the music video for this song during June of 2007. Cole said that this song inspired her lifestyle - relaxing, being at the club, and having a good time. This video debuted on BET's Access Granted during the second week of July. It starts out with Cole going to the club after Missy Elliot convinces her to forget about a man. They get into a car and arrive at the club. The rest of the video entails everyone having a good time at the club. Fat Joe, Angie Martinez, and Leilene from Charm School make an appearance in this video. This video was shot in a New York City nightclub called HOME.

This song did very well on the charts, although the majority of the success it received was in the United States. It did not make any charts except those in the United States and one in Germany. As mentioned above, it did make it up to spot seven on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. It was able to reach the top spot of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. It also made a peak of third on the U.S. Billboard Rhythmic Top 40. It was also thirtieth in the U.S. Billboard Pop 100. The only other country that it made a chart appearance was on Germany's, as it made it up to seventy-two.
