Lets Applaud the Made in China Olympics

The 2008 Olympics is above all about the spirit of a free China. This magnificent display could never have happened in a society that represses the mind of the individual with fear. We must applaud China and not carry the torch of hatred displayed by the religious fanatics in Tibet and elsewhere.

China is a friend of the U.S and is one of its biggest trading partners. But there are financial interests that feel that they can profit by accusing them of civil rights violations. This is called international extortion. But it will not work because some of the largest American companies enjoy good relations with China and don't want them changed.

There is false accusations that Chinese companies pay their employees starvation wages. If that was true there would be a hundred million starving and homeless people in China. The truth is that there are none. Even those displaced by the earthquake have shelter and food. Most of the wages are low but so are those in the third world. The reason that the Chinese economy is a success is not because of low wages but because of high productivity. Outside investment has made their industries the most modern in the world. Mexican wages are also low yet most of their workers live in poverty, poor health and are illiterate. The best they can do is export agricultural products. Illiteracy and disease in China is non-existent and they can export everything.

Lets stop bashing China and give them the chance to display to the world their spirit and beauty in the 2008 Olympics.
