As the Easter holiday approaches we hunt for the best dresses and suits for our little people, we plan sumptuous holiday meals a la Martha and Rachel, stock easter baskets, and search for fun Easter events that will entertain our little ones. So, where do you go for a fun Easter egg hunt in NYC? No matter the boro, all these events are sure to please adults and children alike. Don't Forget your cameras!


BROOKLYN

Pierrepont Playground
April 3, 10 a.m.
Hosted by the Brooklyn Heights Playground Committee's egg hunt in the Pierrepont Playground. Arrive super-early or there might be nothing left for small hands to find. After the hunt relax and enjoy candy, treats, and balloons at your leisure. Don't forget to stop by the bake sale. Prospect Park
April 3-4, 1-3 p.m., Titled "Unscrambling the Egg", this event (free for children), held at the Audubon Center in Prospect Park is more about fun egg -education. This is no Eater Egg Hunt; rather children will learn all about eggs through exhibits, experiments, lessons, and crafts. QUEENS

Barnyard Easter Egg Hunt

April 3, 12-4 p.m.

The Queens County Farm Museum hosts the annual Egg Hunt in the Orchard. Ongoing throughout the day, cute Whiskers the Bunny will hop around greeting children and posing for pictures with them. Play games like Egg Toss, dance the Bunny Hop, visit the farm animals and take a hayride. This event promises to be lots of fun for the little ones. Easter Egg Roll in Bayside:
April 3, 1pm
The Bayside Hills Civic Association hosts its annual Easter Egg Roll. There'll be visits from the Easter Bunny, an egg rolling contest, egg coloring, a magic show, and storytelling, with State Senator Frank Padavan as the guest reader. (Captain Dermody Square, 216th St and 48th Ave)

St. Albans:
April 3, 12-5pm
St. Albans Park's annual Easter Egg Hunt is a big event with egg hunts, pony rides, egg coloring, arts and crafts, snacks and candies, and appearances by Mr. Met and WBLS radio personality Dr. Bob Lee. The Event is sponsored by WBLS Radio, City Councilmember Leroy Comrie, and Affinity Health Plan. The event is free and open to children 12 and under. Egg Hunt Aboard a Ship

There's no rabbit in sight at the South Street Seaport's Sea Turtle Eggstravaganza aboard the tall ship Peking. This peculiar egg hunt features Momma Sassafras the sea turtle, who is looking for her lost eggs, and it's up to kids to find them hidden on the ship and return them to their momma. After the search, prizes, craft activities and storytelling abound at the ship's Living Harbor Wet Lab.
