Let's Help Individuals Released from Prison Annually Stay Out and Succeed!
We Need a Vision, Mission and a Basic Philosophy
This is an open letter to the following amazing value contributors to our society: Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Cathy Hughes, Denzel Washington, Serena Williams, Venus Williams and Oprah Winfrey. Everyone knows who you are, of course, and the tremendous value you have added to our nation with your wide and various accomplishments.
The most important question at this junction is who am I and why would I write such a missive to seven of our nation's greatest contributors?
I am Milton C. Jordan, Sr, 67, and I live in Durham, NC. I spent 20 consecutive years of my life--from six to 26--doing crime and time in North Carolina. For further details please read one or more of the various articles I have published here about my criminal background. I have spent the past 41 years, since my release from prison on Dec. 9, 1968, learning how to stay out and succeed. More important than my learning how to accomplish those achievements, I also learned how to teach and train others to achieve the same accomplishments. Now I am ready to organize all that I have learned and experienced into a company--MPACS, Inc. (Mentoring People Achieving Comprehensive Success)--that will teach and train criminals to acccomplish the following milestones:
Break the crime habit
Earn and ever-free life
Achieve their crime and prison background into insignificance
Teach and train others to accomplish the same.
This company will operate in the Direct Selling industry and will use the Network Marketing distribution and compensation strategies.
Consider the vision: Launched in 2010, By 2040, MPACS, Inc. will help reduce the nation's prison population to no more than 50,000 inmates, and will simultaneously provide successful economic transition for former inmates and more employees of the nation's Prison Industrial Complex.
Consider the mission: MPACS, Inc. provides a turnkey vehicle that any person who believes it's all right to harm others to gain for self, transition from that mindset to becoming a consistent contributor of value to his or her community.
Consider the philosophy: Everyone associated with MPACS, Inc. believes that each individual possesses incredible human potential, and that when aligned with powerful principles of success each person can achieve the zenith of human contribution--adding value to others.
Consider the objectives:
1. MPACS, Inc. will design, develop and deploy a Comprehensive Change Curriculum by which individuals can learn how to successful move along the Continuum of Change from crime to contribution.
2. As a leading company in the Direct Selling industry, using the Network Marketing distribution and compensation system, the leaders in MPACS, Inc. will teach and train incarcerated criminals to change, beginning at least three years prior to their release. Upon release, successful students will launch home businesses as MPACS, Inc. "Sharing Strategists," both exposing other inmates to this dynamic curriculum, and mentoring students through successful completition of the courses. Thus in traditional "network marketing" fashion, Sharing Strategists will build their "downlines" by helping others succeed.
3. The MPACS, Inc. revenue model will be based in rewarding our Sharing Strategists for helping more and more individuals stay out of prison longer and longer until they become fully "planted" as community contributors.
4. While the MPACS, Inc. core customer will be currently incarcerated criminals, the company will also respond to criminals on parole and probation, along those who are simply "between sentences" when these individuals meet stringent accessment standards.
Consider the immediate strategies:
1. Milton C. Jordan, Sr. will contact seven highly successful value-adding contributors to provide the seed capital necessary to launch this venture.
2. Jordan, who has more than 40 years experience staying out and becoming successful will write and publish the curriculum, building the foundational of a national launch of MPACS, Inc before the end of 2010.
MPACS, Inc. once formed, with a board of directors and an executive leadership team, will contract with a consulting company that will guide the board and the executive leadership team in how to best position and deploy this company in the direct selling industry.
Consider the communication model: Jordan and the executive leadership team will use social media and other internet sources, along with limited use of mass media, such as television, magazines and newspapers, to communicate this company's vision and mission nationwide.
Consider the timeline: I want to have the founding investment in place by the end of July, the company organized and launched by June 2011, and the initial students enrolled before the end of that year.
There you have my friends--dare I be so bold--a life-changing vision that we can accomplish together and add value to millions of lives that almost no one believed could be helped.
I await your response.
