Let's Salute All Our Soldiers Who Were Victims of Fort Hood on Veterans Day

KB
The mass shootings that happened in Kileen, Texas on November 5th sent shock waves thru the communities. My own neighbors son is stationed at Fort Hood and by the grace of God he was not on base that day. My heart goes out to the families who lost loved ones that day. I don't understand why that man chose to do what he did, I am just glad they stopped him.

We never understand why it has to be our loved ones that get hurt or killed, I guess thats only for God to understand. For us, we can only have faith and believe that one day God will let us understand what happened. In the meantime we pray, we believe, we have faith that God will lead us in the right direction in our lives and that one day we will be with our loved ones again.

We must pray for our soldiers that go off and fight the battles for our country. We must believe that God will protect them and bring them home to us. My own son was stationed in San Diego, California in the Navy and now is finally home but still in the reserves. I am proud of my son. As mothers and fathers we worry everyday about our children hoping and praying that they are safe everyday, where ever they are at.

My husband served 14 years in the Army and was in Desert Storm, he served his country proudly and still does to this day. I am proud of my husband, he had the courage needed to fight for us. Veterans Day is coming up and we need to salute all the Veterans who have served our country. There are many Veterans who believed that this country was going to stand beside them and now so many of them are on the streets or are in need.

Wednesday, everyone needs to do something nice for a Veteran, take a meal to them, help them with their lawns, show them you care. Give a hug to a veteran, he or she may be the only family they have.
