We as a nation need to stand up for ourselves and our country. If we went to another country and tried to alter their traditions and language we would get thrown out or deported, so why are we not doing the same? If they do not abide by the naturalization process, or if the governments do not enforce it, there is a huge problem. If immigrants do not abide by it then they should have any application removed and citizenship revoked and sent back home. They should have to apply for citizenship within 3 months of being in the states if they are planning on staying, if not then they need to go home because there visit is over. I feel that they should be watched during this time and during the process and if they have any form of criminal activity or charges brought against them, are caught with weapons, are caught dealing drugs or with drugs in their possession, found to be in any gang related activities or in any way go against their oath of allegiance they should immediately have their "new rights" revoked and deported to not return to the states or be able to apply for citizenship again for ten (10) years. If their family or friends are caught harboring them they should be deported and lose their rights as well. After they have made it through the process of naturalization/citizenship they should also have a probationary period of five (5) years and if any laws are broken or any part of their oath dishonored they should again be deported and unable to return for ten years and unable to apply. We have enough criminal activity among American citizens; we do not need to add theirs as well. We are forgetting what our forefathers fought for and we need to remember the morals and laws of this country and stand by them.
They should also not be allowed to collect any form of welfare or medical coverage through the state or government until their naturalization process is final and they are legal citizens. Why are we paying for them to live here, we are making it too easy on them and forgetting about the Americans that have lived here their entire lives. If these immigrants are not educated enough to work at a job supplying insurance, they should have to pay for it out of their pockets like so many American citizens do all ready. Cooperation's and business' ought to be fined if they hire illegal immigrants as well. When it comes to education they should be required to take at least one (1) year of English to learn to speak, write and understand it fluently or at least to understand it better and it should be out of their pocket, not the American Citizens. This would prove that they seriously want to abide by and understand our history, form of government and laws. If they really want out of their country to be a part of our country they will find the funds to do so, it is not our job to do everything for them. This will maybe help them understand what our nation has gone through and fought for to have the rights and privileges we have today. In the oath of allegiance to our country and becoming a citizen they have to pledge "I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen... that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same" (United States. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Oath of Allegiance. 18 Oct. 2006 . So why is it being made so easy for them to tarnish our system, disparage our American flag and vilify our nation and we stand by and let the government and supreme courts allow this to happen. The illegal immigrants do not have any rights, as they are not citizens, so why are they treated as if they do? We have no special circumstances or privileges while in another country if we break the law or degrade their country in any way, so why are we allowing this to happen here? Our prisons are all ready over populated and prisoners have it easy enough as it is, why make it easier for immigrants to violate the law here and get treated better for committing a crime then what they would in their own country. Hand them back to their country and let them deal with their crimes, more than likely it will be a lot harsher than what they receive here or we should treat them as if they were in their own country so they know we will not tolerate these actions while in this country. We need to get back on the right track and stand up for what we have and stand by the Constitution and Declarations that our forefathers set before us so we can still have the freedoms and rights so many Americans cherish today.
Our country can not live as one with two languages when one is trying to dominate the other, this will only lead to war and more prejudices. We need to put an end to it and make it easier for the American citizens to help do so. Courts and government need help sometimes also and we are one nation...not two, so let us do our duties as the law abiding citizens we are! One suggestion I had was to put up billboards, signs and other notices with 800 numbers to report any known illegal immigrants and their vicinity. This way the next time we see a mini van with 15 Spanish people rolling out of it I can call to have it investigated or if there is a known community harboring any foreign illegal immigrants we can call, and even if we see or know any business' using cheap foreign labor and illegal immigrants it can be reported immediately and they can be taken care of properly as well as the illegal immigrants deported. If we know the right authorities to call and make these reports to it will make the process easier and we can hopefully rectify this problem before it is any farther out of control. We need this to help our nation, not embassies set up to harbor and help illegal immigrants.
If you feel the same way please write your state congressman or woman, town and city mayors, the White House and everyone else who can help stop this problem. If they could do this over 50 years ago without the technology we have today for "Operation Wetback", then we can do it now with no problems. What is stopping us? Let's stand up for our rights, our freedoms and enforce the laws of our nation and keep the American dream alive for American generations to come.

Post a CommentI agree, if something is not done soon that will be what happens.
continued more: These illegals and new citizens are not doing as they swore and therefor that is disrespectful to all we have given them and they should not be allowed to take advantage like that. Yet, we enable them to do this by adhering to their language and making it easier for them to not become proficient in English. I am not saying they have to forget their language or their heritage, but they are supposed to read, write and speak English as a citizen of the US, not just until they become a citizen...get my drift? Maybe that is they way you want the children of our future to see things, but I do not. So if you think I am racist then so be it, that is your opinion. But evidently you do not have as high of values and beliefs as I do and do not see the wrong in this situation. I just believe people should uphold their promises, not take advantage of others and work to achieve theirs dreams not steal other peoples. Thanks for your opinion.
continued:I do not beleive that there should be Spanish speaking signs every where we go when they came in to this country knowing this was our language and they "chose" to abide by our rules/laws and yet they do not do so. I further more do not believe that by not following the Constitution that the forefathers of America has written is not being a true citizen. If we, as US citizens would go to another country and demand or request signs for us all over, free college, welfare or tax free living they would tell us where to go...so why should we do this. I am sorry if I do not believe in getting "everything for nothing" and that when someone takes an oath they should abide by that as a decent human being. I have never been called racist before in my life, and I am sorry you believe I am. I have no problem with a "melting pot" and a huge variety of people to make the world a unique place. But when these illegal immigrants and "new citizens" are getting more here then what my family is or other born citizens of the US, there is a problem. I do not like to work my butt off to support welfare cases and give free tax money to those who do not deserve it, nor pay huge premiums on insurance while they get free coverage; especially to people that are so disrespectful to the country they chose to live in. I do not believe that one man or woman should not be chosen for a job that has higher qualifications because an employer can hire an illegal immigrant cheaper, I do not believe that my daughter should have to be in debt for many years to come after college because we are in a higher tax bracket but yet they get free college, I do not beleive that there should be Spanish speaking signs every whe

Wow could you be more racist?
It may have been the ACLU (American Civil Liberties) that got the "illegals" humane treatment, such as the assurance they would not be denied health care. The health care, of course, is paid for by legal citizens and immigrants tax dollars. In addition, companies, such as Halliburton and it's subsidaries, found it favorable to hire illegals, so that they did not have to pay matching employment taxes. We will be lucky if we survive another election without another civil war breaking out.
continued: a war broke out. Texas asked the newly formed United States to fight the war for the Republic of Texas' independence from Mexico and won. Later that Republic willingly became a state. Because a couple of generations of kids are being taught the La Raza lie, they truly think we are the bad guys and work with their elders to simply move on in and enforce Mexican law upon us. Hope that answers your question a bit.
Ronald Reagen decided to give those who entered the country without going through the country's immigration process to become citizens, a general amnesty. This was the green light to telling people we accept law breakers as citizens. The La Razas, MEChA and Brown Berets started a silent revolution to take back the "land we stole from them". A Los Angeles text book was writen by one of them, that distorts the truth about history. "They" worked with Spain to oust the natives from territories such as Texas and when Texas choose not to be ruled by Napolean and removed themselves from Mexico.
