Let's Talk About Redistribution of Income

Louise Murphy
Does it seem that there is a bit of irony , in the fact that Senator John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin, are accusing Senator Obama of being a socialist and wanting to redistribute income, when Mr. McCain is said to be receiving social security, a Navy pension and his salary from being a Senator.. Quite a bundle monthly, when you are accusing someone of being a socialist, wanting to redistribute income. Then there is Sarah Palin, distributing $3,500 to individuals living in Alaska, although they supposedly have some different type of system regarding their oil taxing system. Regardless, if you don't believe in redistribution, don't give income away, when it is not earned, if you are going to call names.

These two people are amazing, our entire tax system is set up in this country, to tax those who are working, take the money and provide for the different programs, which the Government administers such as social security, medicare and other programs.. Would John McCain please tell us, if he doesn't believe in our tax system, what would he replace it with. If not, please shut up about socialism. In actuality, if you want to attach labels, we are a quasi socialist/capitalistic society, been that way for a long, long time. So people need to stop being so hypocritical and deceptive.

In addition, it would be nice if Senator McCain would drop "country first " from his vocabulary, when is it country first, if you hop over to Alaska, interview Sarah Palin for fifteen minutes, and then chose her for your running mate, a person who was charged with possibly violating the ethic rules of her office. A person who does not know what the Vice-President even does, neither will, or can tell an interviewer what she reads. This is truly absurd, Senator McCain is 71 years old, should he be elected, and God forbide, has a heart attack on January 21st, or if he developes cancer, he has had three bouts of it, we would be left with President Palin. Do we hear sounds of people fleeing to Canada? Please !

With all of the charges thrown at Senator Obama, the public has taken a look and they are coming to his side, we have even heard about someone, addressing him with a derogatory name and saying, because they can see who is the better candidate, that they will be voting for him.

Tuesday will tell the story and this man Barack Obama, who when he was at Harvard, was chosen by his Harvard friends, to be the President of Harvard Law Review, because they knew who would be the best one to lead, will once again, perhaps be in a place where opportunity meets preparedness, and thie country will have a real leader, who will actually, put this country first, instead of destroying it, as this current administration has so blantedly done for the past seven years.
