Movies are great. Reviewing movies are also great. I consider myself a movie buff and I like reviewing current and classic movies. In addition, I love Disney films. Therefore, I will review the 1961 classic Disney film called 'The Parent Trap.' www.movies.yahoo.com/theparenttrap

This movie stars Haley Mills in the dual roles of Sharon and Susan. The twins meet at camp and discover that they were separated at birth. They decide to switch places in order to get their parents back together. Their plan hits a snag because their dad Mitch, played by Brian Keith, is engaged to another woman. Therefore, they must first get their dad to forget about Vicki and fall in love again with their mom, played by Maureen O'Hara.

The Parent Trap is a good family film because it is fun and funny. One of my favorite parts of the film is when Mitch falls into the pool because he sees both Sharon and Susan at his house. Also, I like the camping trip portion of the film. This is because it shows Vicki's true feelings towards both marring Mitch and becoming a step-mom. I like the part when Vicki is slapping sticks together to frighten the "mountain lions" away. I enjoy the creative ways that Susan and Sharon got rid of Vicki. In addition, I am a romantic. Therefore, I love the parts where the parents declare their love and when they get remarried.

I am impressed with Haley Mills' acting skills in The Parent Trap. She shows that she has strong acting chops because she plays two roles. She convinced me that there were two different girls in the scenes. Acting in almost every scene in the film illustrates that Haley Mills is a strong actress.

The Parent Trap is a good film because shows the power and intelligence of children. Susan and Sharon devise a complex plan to get their parents together. It works without hurting anyone. Yes, Vicki fell in the river and bear cubs licked honey off her toes. However, she is the villain of this movie. Therefore, she deserved it. Again, Disney provided the perfect villain for this film.

Movies are great and reviewing movies are also great. I love reviewing current as well as classic movies. I have watched Disney films since I was four years old. In fact, The 1961 version of The Parent Trap is was the first non-animated movie that I watched at 11 years old. Therefore, I reviewed this movie. The Parent Trap is a good family film because of the acting skills of Haley Mills and its familial and fun plot. Source: none
