Having answered your call to "General Quarters" or "Battle Stations" I would like to thank you for acknowledging what I am going to tell Senator Obama shortly...
Dear Senator Obama,
Even though the commanding officer is due for rotation, when 'battle stations' sounds, junior officers report to their assigned stations, no matter how far up the promotion list they are!
Having said that:
SENATORS, I truly believe the economy needs saving, and I support that, but no one has identified to my satisfaction what it needs saving from.
I do believe that the people involved in causing this debacle should not be involved in administering whatever course of action is decided upon.
I do believe that the enormous sums of money paid to people and corporate entities as profits, or bonuses, should be seized and used as partial funding for this...cluster ----.
I do also believe that anyone involved in anything more than stupidity should be prosecuted, and punished, to the full extent of any, and every, applicable law, statute, or ACT designed to protect the United States of America and its citizens from danger, whether foreign or domestic. And the stupid ones should receive vocational training since they, too, would have a DO NOT REHIRE, EVER for any job resembling a position of trust.
Financial institutions have been mismanaged, true, but on what information were those decisions made? And were they made from greedy stupidity, malice, or just plain p--s poo...uh, just poor intelligence. (That's a double intender, sirs.)
I have long suspected computerized "automatic" trading programs of doing more than honest trading. To make sudden decisive transactions, such as the sudden drop in the dollar, two years ago, that caused exchanges to shut down from too many transactions (it takes just as long to process a small transaction as a large one) would be too easy to trace.
However, if multiple transactions, insignificant by themselves, were to be repeated often enough for the "programs" to recognize them as trends, and make recommendations based upon those new trends, disregarding any possible negative longterm effects since people pushing the envelope in search of profits, and enjoying success, become unrealistically optimistic. (not realizing their projections are an "optimistical delusion")
Then, when the situation is hanging solely by its margins, these programs, or other, more sinister programs, begin selling short, exposing the vulnerabilities in the existing state of affairs, where the sheer volume of shifting back to 'safer days' causes the whole house of cards to collapse. (If this were a script for a cartoon... the light has just lit up over the coyote's head and his eyes widen in realization as he plummets into the chasm, but, now, when seen from the coyote's perspective , no one is laughing...to be continued.)
Unfortunately, I haven't documented the many articles and indicators that have led me to these conclusions. Perhaps in the spirit of "no one has satisfactorily explained the situation" I will be forced to just trust my intuitive conviction in lieu of evidence.
I know the alphabet soup agencies have real smart people in their ranks. (Again, call it intuitive conviction.) Perhaps a few cyber sleuths, armed with super computers and search warrants, could find the patterns I just described, or something else causing the same effect.
My guess for a place to start would be those who have made the most from this situation.
Also, look hard at the financial backers for the outcry over monitoring phone traffic. I'm just assuming these people did not want anyone hearing what they were doing. (Psst...People not doing dirty deeds, just don't care. )
And lastly, remember, we are under attack on multiple fronts by many factions, perhaps insignificant by themselves, but it is turning into a dogpile and we must set our differences aside and defend America.
Senators...May the Peace of the Lord be with you always, and all ways.
Sincerely,
"uncletumbleweed"
p.s. Please tell anyone you know who is not willing to be open minded, and ethical, about doing what is the very best for ALL Americans, 24/7, that a 'do not rehire' might be appropriate for them, as well.
