The location we went to was at 9359 Blind Pass Road, St. Pete Beach, Pinellas County, Florida. Johnny Leverock started this chain and after his death it was bought by two men who seem to know what they are doing; however, unlike one restaurant down the road which had a long line on this Friday at lunchtime, Leverock's was very quiet. Our aunt made reservations just in case but they weren't necessary.
Their hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 am to 9:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday they stay open until 10:00p.m. Their dinner menu is available anytime but lunch is from 11:30 until 3:00. They also offer a sunset menu.
We were seated promptly and one by one the staff came over to talk and kid with our aunt. They were all very nice and my sense was that even if they didn't know her from the frequent trips to this restaurant Leverock's has a nice group of wait staff.
We sat at wood booths and I noted many pictures on the walls and Christmas music which we were to learn would be played until January 1.
The food was very good. We started with whatever side we ordered. In the case of my husband and me we had Cole Slaw which was quite good and Doris had a large salad with lots of veggies and croutons. Three of us got a very large piece of Scrod Jason (cod) for $8.49. Doris got the onion crusted salmon which she often orders here. It was a very yummy looking dish. This cost of the salmon was $8.99. They did not give us bread sticks until our aunt asked for them. They were yummy - buttered stick of soft bread. We got lots of refills of iced tea!
We didn't pass us desert and shared a huge piece of peanut butter cheesecake which was superb and homemade. My only complaint was that there should have been something on the plate beside the fish. A few steamed veggies would have been nice. It did come with a small portion of rice underneath but the plate looked naked. This was a nice choice. We sat and chatted without being hurried.
The menu is eclectic. You can get soup, salads, wraps, or burgers if you prefer.
Leverock's can be reached at 727-367-5671.

Post a CommentI love their new, updated menu. I had a great veggie wrap there for lunch and some mediterranean shrimp one night. They have happy hour drink specials now too! The new location on Pasadena is very convenient with a larger parking lot and less traffic.
Sounds like some tasty eats!
You are in Jacksonville? We stayed at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park on the way down:)
