Levi Johnston Speculates that Sarah Palin Resigned Over Money

Former Fiance of Bristol Palin Weighs in on Sarah Palin's Future Plans

Carly Hart
The Anchorage Daily News reported that Levi Johnston, Sarah Palin's almost son-in-law, has added fuel to the fire of speculation as to Sarah Palin's future plans after relinquishing her governorship later this month. Citing family discussions dating back to several months ago, back as far as a month after the election, Levi Johnston speculates that Sarah Palin may have resigned as governor to cash in on some of the lucrative offers she has received since spending time in the national spotlight as McCain's running mate.

Levi Johnston's remarks about Sarah Palin's resigning for money: Is this the pot calling the kettle black?

Levi Johnston's speculation on why Governor Palin chose to resign as Governor of Alaska may come across as disingenuous. Levi Johnston's comments about Sarah Palin came at a press meeting arranged by Johnston's agent and attorney. Grabbing the coat tails of Sarah Palin's big announcement keeps his name in the press as well. ETonline reported less than one month ago about that he has received acting and modeling offers. Weighing in on Sarah Palin's future plans certainly couldn't hurt his budding career.

His motive to reveal private, family discussions at the Palin household that occurred months ago could be construed as a teaser to a tell-all book that he is shopping around. The New York Post ran a story on July 4th that didn't receive much attention, except from liberal bloggers and sites. That story cited "Tank", identified as Levi Johnston's publicist/bodyguard, as telling a New York magazine that Levi Johnston was "shopping a book."

Will the Palins restrict access to Tripp in light of Levi Johnston's loose lips?

The feud between Levi Johnston and the Palins has been a very public one. Levi Johnston had complained in the past that Bristol wouldn't let him see his son as often as he would have liked, but the Anchorage Daily News reported that Levi stated that he could now see his son whenever he wants. In light of Levi Johnston's now public plans for a tell-all book and his public discussion of the family's private post-election conversations, Bristol Palin may well decide to cool things with Levi Johnston to avoid giving him any more juicy gossip to write about.

Wow...now young, dumb, teenage boys get job offers for getting girls pregnant. America really is going down fast. This boy is such an idiot talking about his own son's family to get publicity for it, I wonder if he really even realizes that one day his son is going to be able to look up everything that he said. Then he will be able to see his sperm donor for what he really is in his own eyes. People need to leave the Palins alone she sure woulda done something better for this country than the moron we have in the white house now. WAY TO GO AMERICA JUST KEEP PRAISING PPL FOR BEING IDIOTS!!

If the media repeats this young man's statement often enough, it will become truth and gospel! Thanks. Hadn't heard this.

Levi was hitting the talk radio circuit during the Letterman fiasco too. He's obviously using the Palins for cheap publicity.
