LG EnV Touch Review

Dan Jorgy
The LG enV touch is the next in line in the enV series by Verizon. Although it is part of the enV line, the enV Touch acts more like the LG Voyager and Dare due to its touchscreen capabilities. It possesses a 3-inch touchscreen that is very easy to use and rather responsive when touched.

The enV Touch does still come equipped with a sliding QWERTY keyboard as well as the keyboard that is available on the touchscreen which can be used for easy text messaging and web browsing on the phone's full HTML web browser. Surfing the net can be hard at times with the touchscreen and things may be tough to click on. Most web pages were able to load just fine and I didn't have any problem with it. A 3.2 mega-pixel camera with flash is built into the phone and is pretty solid when it comes to camera phones. The camera includes many cool little features such as a mode that automatically snaps photos when a person is smiling and a mode to fix spots and blemishes in the picture. Most of the pictures I took were pretty sharp and showed colors very well.

The enV Touch includes a music player and it is rather simple to use. It has options such as creating playlists, putting it in MP3 mode so the music is not interrupted by calls, and your also able sync the phone to your computer to download songs straight from Rhapsody. There is also plenty of room of storage with 16 GB available to you.

Of course this phone includes the Verizon Wireless broadband service V Cast so you can have access to stream video from many things from CNN to ESPN. When playing videos on the enV Touch, picture quality is very good and ran smoothly most of the time. The enV Touch has an average battery life of 4.3 hours of talking and when I tested it, it was right around that time. This phone is a little quiet when it comes to phone calls and playing music but it was not much of a problem.

The LG enV Touch will run you $149.99 after a $70 mail rebate. Of course, you will also have to agree to a two year contract agreement with Verizon. This is a very good phone and a step in the right direction for Verizon. The enV Touch has few flaws, and and at a very reasonable price, you get a phone with many capabilities and will leave you satisfied with the work Verizon has put in to creating it.
