Review of LG HDTV: LG 32LH30
As I was searching for televisions to purchase, I compiled a list of about a dozen that I was considering as top candidates. I was looking for something in the 32 to 37 inch range, I wanted it to be affordable, and I wanted to know that I was getting the highest of quality.
While I was considering options such as off-name brands such as Best Buy's Insignia, I wasn't satisfied with the reputation despite the savings. Options from Panasonic were intriguing but not necessarily the most highly rated. Samsung had phenomenal reviews but carried the price tag to go along with their brand name.
Then there were the LG HDTVs. The two I was seriously considering were the LG 32LH30 and LG 32LH40, and the final competition came from the Samsung LN32B640. What I found through my research was that not only did LG HDTVs stack up to major player Samsung in term of statistics, they actually exceeded the brand in terms of consumer ratings.
That's what matters most to me as I research products and purchase them. I don't need some magazine editorial board to tell me what a "smart consumer" would purchase... I need everyday Joes (and Jakes) like myself to voice their opinions about how a product fit their needs. What I found from every other LG HDTV review, as I'm restating here, is that their combination of high quality and affordable pricing could not be matched.
When I went to a local Best Buy to compare pictures for myself, it was clear that nearly any television on the long row would have gotten the job done. It's hard to distinguish in the store, but the two in-person points I noted were that first, the LG HDTVs maintained their color and brightness at a greater angle from the screen than did the Samsung televisions. Additionally, the LG HDTVs had a rotating stand included, which offers great convenience.
When Best Buy announced a Black Friday TV sale on LG HDTVs including the LG 32LH30, it was a done deal. Prices are always changing, but it's worthwhile checking out Amazon for the LG 32LH30 in addition to other retailers. Amazon had the cheaper prices prior to the brief Best Buy sale.
LG HDTV Review Final Thoughts
Six months after my purchase of one of the great LG HDTVs, the LG 32LH30, I'm extremely pleased with my decision. It works fantastically and the picture quality has been superb on high def channels, standard definition channels, DVDs, video games, Blu-ray movies and more.
The included picture settings from Sport to Game to Vivid add some great flexibility, and you can program picture controls easily yourself as well. Energy savings settings are also available, and I've never encountered any issues with any element of this LG HDTV.
Finally, what are the stats? It's a 32 inch television, it has 50k:1 dynamic ratio, it has 1080p with 60 Hz processing and you can potentially find it for less than $500.
All of those statistics don't really mean anything though. Hopefully through this review of LG HDTV LG 32LH30 you've seen it's all about real consumer experience, and it's as good as it gets with this great model from LG HDTVs.

We went with a brand name and a high price 2 or 3 years ago (b/c we didnt' know anything) and we're okay with that but today it sounds like the consumer gets quality for less. Good review.
