"Jamless Play" technology helps to restore picture of the physically affected media. The drive spins the disc avoiding damaged areas and restores the image precisely. By receiving a continuous video stream "GH24 Super Multi" removes obstacles better than any other recordable DVD drives.
The new "Silent Play" technology allows "GH24" to operate very quietly, without compromising the effectiveness of the system. GH24 transmits 2.400 KB of data per second, causing up to 32 decibels of sound. It is almost like 30 decibels noise heard in libraries. A quiet drive torque noise does not disrupt when viewing videos or listening to music.
"GH24" has a "SecurDisk" technology which provides maximum protection of sensitive information from unauthorized access. The data, stored in CD's or DVD's, are protected with a security password or personal electronic signature, which allows access to the information only if the user proves the authenticity. In addition, checksum is stored in the disc to ensure data integrity and readability. If necessary, you can limit the PDF files that could be copied from the disc. For this, Nero software with "SecurDisk" function is attached to some device models.
"LG" DVD device allows you to easily install firmware. The information on the recommended different types of optical disk rotation speed is updated via the Internet.
Alongside with "GH24", software license of "YouCam 1.0" is offered also with a trial version of "Norton Internet Security 2009" security package which will operate for 60 days. "YouCam" software provides a simple interface allowing users to take photos, create movies and interact with the camera. It is also able to add special effects on your video or photos. Symantec security package "Norton Internet Security" protects against viruses, social engineering (phishing) attacks, Trojan horse-type viruses, other malicious programs.
The "LG" DVD burner's "GH24" price range is from $27 to $51. The price is quite low especially given the quality of the device.
