LG Releases the KS660, Its First Dual SIM Mobile

LG is expanding its line of mobile releases with the new KS660, which represents a pretty major announcement for the South Korean mobile manufacturer, due to its dual SIM capability. As you've probably already realized, this is the first such dual SIM enhanced device the company has ever developed.

The tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE KS660 comes with pretty strong recommendations, being announced as a very useful and easily manageable mobile in more fields than one would first have expected. Focusing primarily on details, the device is "keen" on keeping users pleased with both the business and social or personal life area, thus boosting its own overall look.

Furthermore, the KS660 features a 3'' QWGA TFT (240x400pixels) touchscreen, plus the touch feedback and 3D turn capabilities. Another just as impressive spec this handset packs is the 5 Megapixel video recording camera, which also represents a most welcome feature on such a device.

Moving on, this LG unveils utilities such as Bluetooth and USB connectivity, FM Radio, a built-in multimedia player, 50MB of internal memory, and a very appreciated micro SHDC card slot. No detail on 3G or Wi-Fi connectivity has been yet disclosed, due to the fact that no such capability has been included in the product. By far this might be one of the worst pieces of bad news the KS660 could have arrived with.

Even so, thanks to the customizable dual SIM features this device has been equipped with, plus its elegant and good looking design, and also considering the 105x55x14.9mm measurements, the KS can easily become one of those mobiles that stick to the back of your mind and haunt you endlessly until you finally purchase it.

Should you take into account such an option, you might want to know that the handset has so far been rumored to be available only to China and Russia, and it is due for first quarter of 2009. Nevertheless, the last piece of bad news is probably the worst, since the handset is strongly claimed not to reach the North American or Western European markets in the near future.
