Liar's Pulpit

The following was written in response to religious hate, fundamentalism, bigotry and church sponsored terrorism. Note that while this work contains strong statements against religious themes, it is not a condemnation of religion itself, nor is it an attack on Christianity, but rather it is a statement against those who use religion to promote hate.

Liar's pulpit

Indoctrinate and desecrate; ignore them as they cry and watch the children die, as you spread your holy lie;

Murder, rape, genocide, all this you abide!?! Throw the ropes, light the pyres, kill as the church requires, throw them to your fires!

Spread your fear, fear of final days and evil ways, because in this business terror pays. A weeping and wailing a gnashing of teeth, this is the world that you bequeath!?!

Tell your tales of boards and nails, shielding eyes with wicked veils. Tell your story: "sell your soul and have no worry!" Tell your lie: "follow me or you will die!"

In your wake, a burning stake; in your eyes, only lies. Minds you indoctrinate and souls you desecrate, all while you pass your greedy plate; claim the lord and holy word as you spread your cult of hate!
