Liberty

John Howard
She's not made of gold nor silver,

A true smile a man's reward.

Embracing a light of Liberty,

She greets the poor and prosperity.

With a grace known to many,

Her gaze greets the world.

A ships grand destination,

She despises no nation.

With constant vision and love,

A woman's soft eyes, behold.

All that pass by and greet her,

Wish to God they could meet her.

A standing tribute to us,

Her book held firm.

A kindness in the eyes,

Let us know all survives.

A gift, not only to us,

For every soul that's seeking.

A place of warmth and love,

The final promise of the dove.

As a world looks forward,

Every soul looking for bliss.

The promise of her eyes,

Defeats the oppressors lies.

Walk forward, into the day,

Holding faith and Liberty.

For soon we shall avail,

And the world will prevail.
