Liberty Tree Tavern Welcoming Back Character Meals

In January and February of 2010, the very popular Crystal Palace - a great restaurant for character meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner - will be closing down for a refurbishment. Due to being such a popular destination, and leaving no other locations at Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom that will be offering character meals, Walt Disney needed to find an alternative.

To the delightful surprise of many, Walt Disney World has decided to bring back the characters at the Liberty Tree Tavern, which includes Minnie, Goofy, Chip, Dale and Pluto.

In early 2009, Walt Disney World pulled a bold move and ceased their character dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, a very popular meal in itself, where guests were able to sit down for a patriotic holiday meal and have some of their favourite Disney characters come to visit them at their table. It has been reported that Liberty Tree Tavern has taken a hit financially due to the characters leaving the restaurant and rumours have been brewing for months that the characters would soon be returning to Liberty Tree Tavern.

Walt Disney World is saying that Liberty Tree Tavern will be the new location for the character meals when Crystal Palace is closed, but that it is only a temporary revision.
