The main branch is located at 678 South Haywood St, Waynesville, NC 28786. You can call the branch at (828) 452-5169. Hours are 9 am-6 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 9 am-9 pm on Thursday; and 9 am-5 pm on Saturday. The library is closed on Sundays.
The Canton branch is at 11 Pennsylvania Ave, Canton, NC 28716. You can call the branch at (828) 648-2924. Hours are 10 am-6 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 am-7 pm Tuesday and Thursday; 9 am-1 pm on Saturday; and 1:30-5 pm on Sunday.
The Maggie Valley branch is located inside Town Hall at 3987 Soco Rd, Maggie Valley, NC 28751. You can contact the branch by calling (828) 926-0461, extension 6. Hours are 10 am-5 pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 3-8 pm on Wednesday; and closed on weekends.
The Fines Creek Branch is located inside the Fines Creek Community Building at 190 Fines Creek Rd, Clyde, NC 28721. You can contact the branch at (828) 627-0146. Hours are 9 am-5 pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 3-7 pm on Wednesday; and closed Friday through Sunday.
The Cruso Mini Library is located at the Cruso Community Center. It is open May through August.
The libraries offer several story times for various ages, as well as occasional guest speakers and instructional seminars for adults. Internet access is free with a library card, which can be applied for at any branch or you can print the application from the library website and mail it in. ID is required to receive a library card and children under the age of 16 will need their parent or guardian's signature. You can access the card catalog through the website and interlibrary loan is available if your local library does not have the title you're seeking. In addition to books, you may check out audio books, CDs, videos and DVDs.
FreedlanderLearningResourceCenter
Freedlander Learning Resource Center is located on the campus of Haywood Community College. Hours are 8 am-9 pm Monday through Thursday; 8 am-4 pm Friday; and closed on weekends. The library is closed between semester and on holidays.
Members of the community may use the library by visiting the circulation desk to get a library card. A valid NC license or ID card is required. Computer access is available, but subject to restrictions if computers are needed for student research. Interlibrary loan is also available. The card catalog can be accessed through the library website.
