Lies, a Poem
The Truth is Easier to Tell, but Some People Lie Because They Can't Tell the Truth from a Lie
But that day was not to be
Because the promise of tomorrow
Can never be counted on you see.
People say things sometimes
They mean it all the best,
but when it comes down to it
they just can't meet the test.
For three days I sat and waited
for the phone to call my name
but never a tinkle did I hear
for it was all a sad stupid game.
People need to be more honest,
ought to do what they say
but then who knows, what happens
with the games that people play.
I'm simplistic and straight forward, I guess
what I appear to be is what you find
I don't play with people's emotions
Nor do I try to mess with their minds.
Wondering why others are less honest
How can they act this way,
isn't anyone else out there truthful
on this planet, now a days?
I'm not fond of deception
I can't abide to hear a lie,
But I guess I'm an exception
I will be till I die.

I LOVE THIS ONE...I have a daughter that is a born again Liar!!! It is very hard to deal with her because she Parades around with God on her side but still encompasses her life with lies!!! I still pray for her, she really needs help!
My father always said, "if your going to be a liar ,you need to have a good memory, because it is easy to trip yourself up. " I have to agree.
To some it is easier to lie. How, I still do not know. It would seem you would spend your life spinning tales and trying to remember who you told what. To me, it is easier to tell the truth. Plus, it is the right thing to do.
