Life

Life's a competition,
it gets harder every day,
It's a struggle to decide,
What to think,
or do,
or say.

We're friends,
And then,
we're enemies,
We try to get revenge.
We work so hard to get somewhere,
And then,
somebody bends.

We love,
But then we find out,
The other isn't there,
On the same page that we are,
And they do not seem to care.

Well,
we know we must forgive,
And we know,
We have to deal,
Our hearts go left,
Our brains move right,
Our mixed emotions put up
A fight.

We must bind ourselves by faith,
And hold on tight,
Through thick,
and thin,
For if we work together,
Life's a battle,
We can win.
