Life After Harry Potter

To All Harry Potter Fans (After Book 7 Has Been Released) Life Goes on for All of Us.

Since the first time Harry Potter was released, I became one of the J.K. Rowling's numerous fans. Being a writer myself I know how difficult it is to produce a book such as this that actually attracted the whole world and for 10 years everyone is indeed glued into it.

From the book it became alive in movies and drew a lot of people to like it and probably was the reason for the success of the succeeding books.

Just this month, the last of the 7 books was released and I was lucky enough to have a copy of it and read it straight in 8 hours. I was a total Harry Potter Fanatic 'til the last. Even though it has already ended I still delve into thoughts of Harry Potter being the grown-up that he is without Voldemort.

The last book was not my favorite. I hate endings. When things I have anticipated for years and years end it carves a hint of disappointment in me. It means that life has moved on. I was in my first year in high school then when I first read Harry Potter, the same age when Harry Potter was introduced. I hate to admit it but time really did fly so swiftly and as I read the Epilogue of Harry Potter, my heart suddenly felt a gloomy relief, a blissful agony 'til i read the last words on the book. I am happy because finally Harry Potter already had a family but saddened with the fact that I don't have anything to anticipate anymore. No more bets on what or how the story would end and no more books I have to wait for a year or even 2 years.

I grew up with Harry Potter although his life was played on fast forward mode for the benefit of the readers but evidently I did learn a lot like Harry Potter did. I am now facing life with the unknown. I am getting older and wiser. The only thing that separates me from Harry Potter is that I had my parents ever since and the Voldemort is not a snake-like faceless figure but a whole lot muggle world filled with uncertainty. I had a Voldemort within me too, indecisiveness and lack of self-esteem. And as I grow up I know I'd learn a lot of things probably learn occlumency and finally block the inner Voldemort I have. One thing I have in common with Harry Potter is having also some loyal friends guiding me through the toughest battle.

Harry Potter has ended but my life hasn't and this goes to everyone like me who loved and followed every trace of Harry Potter. Life lives on. And from Harry Potter (this was actually in James' and Lily's tombstone) "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death"
