Life After Humans Show - Discovery Channel

There is More Here Than Meets the Eye

What happens if you take away the aggravation that is called human? Oh, oh, wait a minute, isn't that a question akin to the age old "if a tree fell in the forest and nobody was there to hear it..." bit? [CLICK] It seems oddly fascinating to imagine human as the ultimate, in fact, one person wrote an absolutely mind boggling article about this, she was reporting on the discovery channel television program about it, but much of what she personally found insightful was in the read, ah...see what I mean now? [CLICK] So that we are left in the midst of an intriguing question, think about this one, why did they choose this subject? Why life after humans? Are they trying to tell us something? Are they, on the other hand, and as a subtle part of this piece, implied, are they, revealing something about "their" channels [CLICK] underlying premise regarding humanity?

We could go for the easy one, looks like they aren't particularly proud of good ol' Homo Sapiens? After all here they are running a show where human isn't there anymore. Which point of view might be worthwhile, but it is a bit simplistic for a conspiracy, wouldn't you say? If the discovery channel, that bastion of truth and liberty over the air waves, is propagating an internationally viewed but skewed perspective, that would merit a comment or two about such, wouldn't you say? It is probably a safe bet, however, to presume that very few folks are noticing this subtle shift in the programming, away from the stuff of "wow dad, look at that monster size crane..." to, "oh my gosh mom, do you realize we are a vanishing specie?" That's pretty subtle and might merit a conspiracy theorist taking a second look at it, but, that's a simple shot at it, let's take it deeper as you stay with this article and find out...what really is going on here.

We could dive off into the anti-religion aspect of this scenario, as it seems decidedly scientific and evolutionarily resolute in its stance? But again, would you think that was a bit too easy? Hardly worth your reading time, nonetheless, one has to say that might be a legitimate slice of the conspiracy sandwich? Put enough Mustard over it, and it might not taste as bad as it seems to taste at first bite. We all have a slightly tired taste of religion as it is, and these days, everyday, a new flavor bursts forth to challenge our spiritually based pallet. One is left to wonder if the Discovery Channel folks are anti-religion.

Those are two points of view that are different enough to merit an examination perhaps, but let's dig a bit and see if there isn't possibly a third point of view here that is actually worth your while to consider. (Read this in Bruce Willis tone voice, as he did in "Armageddon" [CLICK]) Is it possible that some scientist, after all those years of study, after all that training, after all those mind boggling days in the lab, is it possible that all this lady scientist, or scientific feller, could come up with; was a drama where humankind goes bye bye? Is that what you are asking me to buy into? That after everything is said and done; the most important subject for these geniuses to get into was a scenario where all the humans are gone? And for some reason we're supposed to buy that and believe it is cool? Is that what you're putting out there? Well that seems to me to be something like a wish from a sigh of a set of folks what don't like us humans much, what do you think about the matter?

  • Discovery Channel has aired this show about a non human inhabited planet
  • Weird as it seems, what would be the point of an earth without humans
  • Take away people and you take away what makes the planet special
Animals might not make it in this world without humans

I think some people have too much time on their hands...forward thinking is good but some of these scientists would do well to put their energies in more tangible issues. Leave the speculation etc. to the soft sciences...
