Life and Aging

Oodles
The older we get, the faster time flies
The years spin by and we grow more wise
We may not be thinking quite as fast
But we learn to let go of what has passed
We relish the simpler joys of life
A good book, a new moon, a high-five
We grow a few wrinkles and a scar or two
Giving fun stories of all we've been through
We see the young grow older and empathize
They ask us for our advice and we then realize
How much the young treasure and look up to old
And we savor pleasant feel of the familial hold
And so even though our health declines
We find deep joy between the lines
