Life as a Mom with Email

Sarah Holmes
As a mother I love to keep people up-to-date with stories about my kids, the only problem occurs when I get extremely busy for awhile and I stop sending stories. The relatives start asking, "Where did the stories go?" and "Are you Ok?". Therefore, one thing I have learned about sending stories and photos of your kids by email, if you start, be sure to keep it up. If you stop, you will find out how much your family really appreciates it.

The other thing I do is send out all the photos of my kids by email. People get them quicker this way and it saves on postage. The biggest problem with this is that I often leave out my husbands grandparents. His two grandmas and one grandpa do not have access to email, all of my sets of grandparents do as well as all of the other parents, aunts and uncles. Therefore, I often have his grandmothers email or write to me and wonder "where are the pictures of the grandkids?" To which I reply, "I emailed them, didn't you get them? Oh yeah, I forgot you don't have email. "

The other problematic thing about sending pictures by email is I still need to remember to send prints once and awhile because very few of my relatives know how to upload the pictures and order prints on their own.

In reality though, relatives LOVE receiving stories and pictures by email. So as long as I don't stop, I occasionally send ACTUAL prints and I remember to mail photos to my husbands grandparents from time to time, all is well.
