Life Goes On

Olga L. Chacon
I feel the wind
blowing on my face.
I see a bird falling
from the sky. I look
around, I see a leaf
dropping down.
Cars run
into each other.
Screams, laments
and sirens I hear.
A house burns
around the corner.
I walk on the streets.
I see traffic jams,
people riding the bus.
I run into a coffee shop,
I take a zip,
and wait for another day.
