Life Goes On

Zenovia B.
We were together for so long.
I thought our marriage was strong.

As a couple, we looked so good together.
I believed our match would last forever.

I put my trust in him with all my heart.
He promised me we would never part.

Then along came this woman with a different style.
She mesmerized him with her feminie wild.

This is not happening; I thought I was dreaming.
I was angry, humiliated, I felt like screaming.

For days I moped around, I was heart broken.
His actions showed me that he had spoken.

I rallied around my family and friends.
They said, "This was a great beginning, not a sad end."

I have had a romance since I have started this course.,
However, presently I am detached, happy by choice.

I have rebounded since my dispersion.
My confidence has risen; a new woman is emerging.
