Life Goes on After the Absent Father

Zenovia B.
Just because I am alone now, I'm not looking back to you.
Let the truth be known, you broke my heart too.

When I think back and remember all the times we did share.
I even gave you your only son, but that didn't make you care.

You even questioned his paternity, knowing you were the only one.
I tried to lift you out of your problems, even though you weighed a ton.

I had to learn the hard way, drugs and love just don't mix.
Instead of trying to help you it was me I needed to fix.

I am no longer gook back it's time to look ahead.
Not thinking about being with another man but with me for a while instead.
