Life is Good
Life is good.
That's what it says on the spare tire cover
of someone's jeep in the Chic-Fil-A parking lot.
But if life is all that good,
why are people murdered, raped, tortured?
Why are babies aborted, children abused, abandoned, molested?
Why are we at war with terrorism?
Why do people put something in their bodies
that will harm them, thinking it will make them feel better?
If life is good, why are there so many people
trying successfully and unsuccessfully to end it?
Did I not get the memo?
Did all of this become good?
If it did, then, well, sure,
Life is good.
