Life of RNA

Michael Doff
Replication, translation,

Transcription and more,

Polypeptide chain synthesis,

That's what its all for.

It all starts with the DNA,

The biological genetic code,

Then helicase comes to save the day,

And switches to replication mode.

Two strands are quickly unwound,

And then promptly divorced,

SSBs prevent bonds being rebound,

Without even having to be forced.

Next the promoter is located,

And Polymerase reads from 3' to 5',

Nucleotides are newly mated,

And messenger RNA is created live.

The mRNA is now ready for translation stage,

And finds a ribosome fit for the job,

The ribosome plays the part of a mage,

And summons anticodons in a big mob.

These anticodons are matched with the RNA,

According to their nucleotide positions,

And amino acids are pushed from the p bay,

Ending the RNA's missions.

Sean, that's pretty deep. I never thought of it that way. Or any way for that matter.
